What a great feeling it was to hold the book today! First time ever. My order arrived today, so anyone else who has ordered one should be getting theirs very soon. We're so sorry for the delay, but it was beyond our control. We were at the mercy of our publisher to do some rewrites, then wait for changes to be implemented, and wait and wait and wait some more. But the book is in print, and I have copies.
Curt and I are thrilled that we've been given the opportunity to share what we've learned so others may not have to suffer from clergy misconduct--or any type of misconduct by an authority figure. People need to know what's happening to unsuspecting victims. We hope our story brings awareness to many and hope to many more.
God has been guiding us--He's been with us on this journey, showing us the way.
As we move closer to completing the process of publishing Curt's story, he's finding the emotional drain to be overwhelming at times. We received our first review today from a published author. His comment that the story is "riveting, spellbinding, and it'll take your breath away and at the same time will shock you," brought tears to Curt's eyes.
We've been preparing for the book's release and getting our promotional strategy in place, including searching for movie producers to take a look at it. Curt contacted Janet Patterson from SNAP today, and once again, Janet has come through with sound advice and the positive reinforcement Curt needs right now. I want to thank her for that and for always being there when we need her.
We're on the roller coaster, and there's no turning back now. It's not going to get any easier for Curt, but with our friends and relatives support, he'll get through. He's tough--as those who know him know!! Curt can use any support from his friends and readers right now to help him get through this journey.
Thanks to everyone responding to our blog. There's so much more to come!
